LEAD 09'- Applying?

<p>Hhaha... RandomOmega</p>

<p>That guy has no clue what he's talking aboutt! He's a fake!</p>

<p>lol just kidding, he is probably the single best person that can help ANYONE get into LEAD. He literally and figuratively, is a GOD at any admissions thing. I HIGHLY suggest you EMAIL ( and NOT PM) him...good luck guys, im also here for any advice.</p>

<p>Thank you DJ...man people who PM me **** me off. I just got 2 of htem today! Clearing out my inbox sucks :(</p>

<p>USHDEBATER... r u in NHI?</p>

<p>yeah DO NOT **** off THE GODLY radrom omega... He is the greek god of admissions... lol it sounds funny but im not even playing</p>

<p>lol anyway.</p>

<p>My essays cant really be copied even if he wanted to.</p>

<p>I wrote about a 370 million dollar bond issue that passed in our district and went mainly to stuff like pool tables, tennis rackets and volleyballs. NOT the fact that the school i am going to recieved the states award of excellence with a 68% PERCENT.</p>

<p>What do you guys think, i thought of writing about something that happened here at home and affected me directly would help me.</p>

<p>Btw. For people that refer to themselves as the "god of essays" It seems your more gloating your ability, rather than provide geuine help to other people.</p>

<p>Anyway, on a side note.</p>

<p>"Daniel,</p>

<p>Your application has been found. If you have filled in all the required fields online, then your application is complete. Thank you for your interest in the LEAD program for Business and have a great day.</p>

<p>im sorry about posting twice about that business solution its just that i was hoping to kind of get an idea of where im supposed to go with the essay</p>

<p>I went to LEAD Wharton last year and it was pretty amazing. Wharton is definitely the best (and craziest!) lol
In all seriousness, all the SBIs are excellent. I would highly recommend LEAD. Even if you're not a business fiend, LEAD will help you in many ways!</p>

LEAD Wharton was very much based on teamwork. We had about 5 or 6 different team activities/projects for each presentation. You're assigned to a different project for every new project. Your team is assigned to a specific RTA who gives advice and guidance. For every corporate visit you take, there is a project/presentation, which usually comes with a prize.
The day-to-day schedule is meeting in Huntsman Hall at 8 or 9, having a class on basic business principles, working with your group on an upcoming project, either visiting a corporation or having a representative come to us at Wharton, then working with groups again. The schedule varied. Some days were very busy, others were relaxed. Weekdays were usually free. We went to a John Legend concert, saw Dark Knight, saw the Liberty Bell, went to Dorney Park in NJ, etc for fun activities.
All summer programs at UPenn stay in the Quad. There are lots of other programs besides LEAD going on, so you end up meeting a lot of different ppl, even if they aren't in LEAD. We all stayed in single dorms, except for 4 people who lived in doubles. Having a single was nice, but everyone always snuck into each other's rooms to hang out in at night, so it was easy to be social.
UPenn is the only SBI to go to DC AND New York, so I think that's a plus.
Coolest corporate project was BET Studios. Whichever team won that business case won tickets to the BET Awards! I'm still a little bitter about that loss! lol
Johnson and Johnson, Lehman Brothers (haha), Goldman Sachs, The World Bank...were all corporations that we visited.
LEAD: Wharton was lots of work, but even more fun. Sorry about the long post, but just wanted you guys to get a pretty good description of how LEAD was for me.</p>

<p>^.. WOW sweet.</p>

<p>But hold on, i dont think i read that correctly</p>

<p>You guys had SINGLE dorms?! in other words you had a room to YOURSELF?!</p>

<p>man that sounds amazing... yea I can't believe that they give us single rooms... thanks for the great info</p>

<p>dnlgao: almost done, but im still waiting for my damn transcripts... thats what I get for going to a school with 900+ kids :/</p>

<p>TYPO: "You're assigned to a new TEAM for each new project"</p>

<p>Yep, single dorms.</p>

<p>pnthrs11- LOL we had about 490-600 depending on how many drop out so i know what your going through. Its a shame only about 2% actually care enough about school to know what a transcript is. btw, you better get that thing in, in a hurry. remember it takes like 3 days for it to get there as well..</p>

<p>but now that i think about it.. 3 weeks?! yeah that would be hard with a roomamte so i can see them giving us our own individual dorms. Did you guys have laundry rooms and stuff to wash clothes and things?</p>

<p>^ btw.. is yours 900 for the school? or 900 for your class because im talking for me like avg of 500 PER class.</p>

<p>yea sorry its about 900 per class so about 3500 total....... yea hopefully ill have it tomorrow... throw it in the mail (probably gonna have to priority it) then hope to God they get it haha....</p>
