I know people say that LEAD tries to accept everyone, but for the people who went to the LEAD programs, how many asian and indian people were there?

LEAD is amazing.

I am the only Asian person at my LEAD Program (Dartmouth).

I've done tons of summer camps, college programs, etc
but LEAD absolutely surpasses all of them
Good Luck Lead Class of 09

**Well it’s that time of year again! LEAD applications
for the summer of 09! When I was a high school junior,
I looked everywhere for a prestigious summer program.
It was at that moment that I found LEAD. This program
will absolutely change your life forever in a profound way
beyond description.

And I mean every. Word. Of. That.

I didn’t expect much when I stepped onto Dartmouth
(my designated LEAD campus). Then I started getting
lots of emails of information, with letterheads of Dartmouth
engraved in each word document. Password protected
files, and notarization required forms.

It was at that moment that I realized how official this
program was.

I found myself blown away immediately at all the resources
they gave me, from all the instructional materials to the
binders and professionally made nametags (not those
cheap paper ones!). The course materials we got were
DIRECTLY from the MBA program. It was amazing. The
lectures weren’t given by teacher assistants, but from
professors who are heads of departments. I was SHOCKED.

The people we met were equally impressive. CEOs, a COO
of a fortune 500 company, recruiters, headhunters. We
didn’t just meet them, we spent days with them. We had
dinner with them. It was AMAZING how much time they
invested into us.

And the case competitions, oh the case competitions.
Heheh, when you compete with the brightest, shrewdest
business students in the nation, oh you bet there’s exciting
times.

LEAD is worth it. I don't care if you don't think you have
a shot of getting in. If you love business, then you apply
to this program. Period.

And i'm here to help you guys every step of the way.
Because I WANT you to have this opportunity.

Feel free to contact me for help.

Does anyone know the dates for the programs this coming summer (2009) for any of the locations? I emailed LEAD about a week ago but I haven't heard anything yet.

Thanks

I am also interested in the 2009 LEAD summer programs but I can't seem to find any dates yet, just a small problem!!!

Dates for LEAD 2009 according to the paper application:

Cornell: Early July
Dartmouth: Early July
Duke: Mid June
Georgetown: Early July
Northwestern: Late June
Stanford: Late June
Univ of Illinois: Early July
Univ of Michigan: Early July
Univ of Pennsylvania: Early July
Univ of Virginia: Early June

Last year, as an applicant, I received an email with all the exact program dates on January 24.

Make sure to apply! LEAD is just awesome!

LEAD is for rising seniors, so you apply when your a junior? I'm a sophomore, so I guess I still have time.

How competitive would I be with a 3.7UW(4.2W) GPA, 29-30 ACT, Eagle Scout, job working 15hrs a week?

Thanks

Edit: How much is tuition? Do I have to pay for travel?

I went to LEAD at Wharton last summer and have already been accepted to go Stanford in the fall. Without a doubt LEAD is the most amazing summer program around. It is not only an avenue to introduce you to some of the biggest players in the business world (and when i say biggest i mean top level administration of some of the largest and wealthiest companies in the world), it is a network that you will cherish for years and years to come. lets put it this way. if someone from my lead program becomes ceo of some fortune 500 company which is a distinct posibility i would have no reservations about asking them for a job and i feel 100% confident that they would welcome me with open arms.

in the month spent there you make connections with people that will change your life forever. normally i am not a very expressive person but LEAD truly does all of this.

on a side note, Wharton 08 has produced people who got accepted Early to schools such as Wharton, Georgetown, Yale, Stanford, U of Chicago, and a number of other schools admitting us in the hopes that we will turn down a top school to come there on scholarship. basically LEAD is the ****. especially at wharton.

Would it be better to do this or to intern at a company?

BTW how much is this?

What's the diff between UPenn's LEAD and LBW program?

**
ANY CHANCE?!?!
Good Essays-( I think..)
GREAT Recs.
3.88 UW GPA 4.0 scale (4.0 1st semester)
Honors/Gifted/AP classes.
25 ACT -> I KNOW TERRIBLE!! but i got nervous and had 0 sleep the night before. Some would call a small anxiety attack.
... Thats about it. Im asian if that matters at all and am from Kansas.
