LeadAmerica Stanford Law School Program?

I got it in the mail today-apparently a mock trial type of program.
Is it worth it?

I got in the mail yesterday and I’m wondering the same thing. I’m also curious about the cost of the program as it wasn’t in the brochure or letter…

Tuition and other relevant info at [Law Programs for High School Students | LeadAmerica | Summer law and trial program at Stanford Law School for high school students](http://www.lead-america.org/conferences/cslc/law-stanford.asp)

I received a letter a while ago, with the deadline scheduled for mid-April. As I have already signed up (and paid for) a PSAT prep course that coincides with the program, I never replied. However, the program administrators sent me an email a few days ago, letting me know that there are still several open spots. I was also offered $500 to help with tuition. I would LOVE to take the program, but I have already made a commitment to a different academic endeavor. I’m weighing my options–which course should I take? The Stanford/LeadAmerica program seems like a great opportunity, but I would like to know from an alumnus of the program who experienced it firsthand in order to make a decision that is based on real information and not propaganda from either academic course.

Thank you!

I received the $500 scholarship grant as well, but I heard from a friend that this program is actually just a really bad, money-seeking program

My friend enrolled in a LeadAmerica program, however with a focus on medicine. She basically said that same thing that bearz8’s friend said – it wasn’t very helpful and just very costly. Not worth the money, apparently.

I got it too, but it was too expensive. I opted for a cheaper program at Drexel, and it is taught by Drexel’s staff.

Does Stanford’s staff even teach at the LeadAmerica Program?

Well, I’m glad I didn’t reply now.
