Leadership and Duke ED?

<p>Hi</p>

<p>I'm applying duke ED and i have few leadership positions in school...like a couple for one club, but thats about it. outside school however, i have around 3 more leadership positions. will this put me at a disadvantage? is school leadership more important to admissions?</p>

<p>Watch this video if you havent already. Its really informative, and will address those questions. </p>

<p>But no, Duke does not care where your leadership comes from. Inside school, outside, doesnt matter. In fact, Dean Guttentag says in the video that they look more for “impact” than leadership, as the one with the leadership position isn’t the one that always does all the work and makes the biggest difference.</p>

<p>4-5 leadership positions should be adequate as long as they’re in something you’re committed to (not just padded on cause they can tell)
