<p>Upon trying to figure out where I want to go tho school I read the mission statement and I pretty much made my decision right there. My question is, is it really a place where where leadership is encouraged. I know that sounds kind of stupid but hear me out. UF's mission statement mentions such stuff like building the state of Florida and so forth. I'm not diggin' that as much as what is mentioned in UM's mission statement, " ...building leaders". Does it really seem like that's an objective or is it just talk and something nice say to prospects?</p>
<p>I’m a current freshman at UM and I have been astounded by how many leadership positions are available. Most clubs and organizations have leadership spots open just for freshman so they can get involved. It really feels like everyone is here to help you accomplish what you want as long as you make the effort to show that you want it.</p>
