Leadership in an activity for one year?

<p>Hi all,</p>

<p>I was the quiz bowl varsity captain in 11th grade, but this year I'm just a member and someone else is captain. I was part of quiz bowl for 3 years, though. How do I specify this on the common app, because the new captain's applying to many of the same schools I am and I don't want them to think we're lying.</p>

<p>Maybe put captain in 11th grade or captain and then state the year in which you were captain. That should be specific enough.</p>
