I have been waiting for the time that I can finally attend this program, and being a rising senior this summer, I am looking forward to applying.

However, I also know that this prorgram is EXTREMELY competitive to get into. (Only 60 kids??)

I do not know anyone who has attended, but I asked someone at my school, and he said that due to the presitge of my school, it shouldn't be too tough to get into.

How good does my application need to be to get into transcript-wise? I have just recieved my first trimester grades a few weeks ago, but I won't get my second trimester grades until March. Should I wait till then to send in my application, or should I just do it as soon as possible because of the rolling admissions? What else can I do to get myself in this program?

I know the owner of the camp, and he's really cool. He actually sponsered (i.e. paid entirely for) a camp put together by students at my school in Philly. This came about by a particular student, who attends Wharton now, attending the program; he became closely affiliated with Julian, the owner, thereafter - he was an exceptional student. I also know another student, who participated in our camp, from California, now attending UCB. Julian, as well as both students, said that the score's of campers were generally 14+, although there were some exceptions (scores in the twelve hundreds). The admission is tough, but the program is great - Good luck!

Keep into account there is another Wharton based summer program LEAD. So before you post opinions you may wish to specify whether its LEAD or LBW as they can be commonly confused.

The thing is, I won't be taking the SAT's until mid-march, therefore my score won't be ready until the deadline of applications.

Looks like I'll just have to go by my PSAT's.

I also looked into the LEAD program (for minorities I believe), and I guess I'll apply to that too. Maybe I'll ask them if it's possible that I won't go unless it's at Wharton...

sigh, i'm never getting to upenn then. i can't even get into their summer school which would of given me a slight chance. seems like everyone wants to go to upenn. seriously....damnit.
