Leadership Pre-O?

I'm planning on running for office at WashU, like in the Senate or any other office positions. But I feel like i should go to one of the leadership Pre-O's to be on the same page as all the other people who want to do leadership at WashU, yet I probably won't be able to go. Does it put me at a disadvantage not to go to one of the leadership pre-o's?

I don’t think it puts you at a disadvantage seeing as there are a max of 40 people going and there are tons of people in student government.

I’m doing the Leading WashU Style pre-o, and I’ve never done student government before, so I’d say anyone with student government experience has an advantage over me come election time.

If you so choose to run for a position on the Freshman Class Council, attending the Leadership Pre-O will help you meet other students in order to run as a slate; which has been the norm for past elections.

Otherwise, not going to a leadership Pre-O will not put you at a disadvantage in terms of running for a student government position.
