Leadership Program-Summer

Has anyone done the Leadership in the Business World summer program at Penn? They only accept 60 kids, it looks like. Feedback appreciated. Thanks.

Im planning on applying to that this year. Does anyone know how competitive it is to get in?

I did lbw last year. I know its somewhat competitive, usually around 200-300 apply each year.

Flyers, did you have SAT scores to submit?

no, only PSATs I do not know if they take SATs. Just a warning though...the program does not feed into Wharton all the time...including myself there are 7 people who I know from lbw going to wharton.

hey flyer what did u get on ur psat's? i might be applying this year. Also, does it have any influence if someone applies to Wharton who has done this program?

Hey, do you guys think its going to be an issue if I only send SAT II scores seeing as I never took the the PSAT (french system) and I can only take the new SAT in may (earliest seating for internationals)?

FYI, the admissions rate at LBW is approx. 35%

My PSATs were ok like 90th percentile or higher...but u need leadership stuff too...such as captain of a team..owning a business...bbyo president. I have no idea what international students submitted. There were students from Bulgaria, Canada, France, Switzerland, Oman, Hong Kong, China, Japan, and Costa Rica at the program.

hey flyer....could u tell me about ur experience? what u did...who u talked to...how were the dorms, food...etc thanks.

we had class from like 9-5 everyday...lectures and wharton profs..most were interesting while others just sucked. Additionally, we were divided into 6 groups and had to come up with a business plan and present it at the end. We had to do all the research on our own time which wasnt much. The food was penn food, the housing was the quad.

I know it doesn't really guarentee anything in terms of applying to Penn/Wharton, but would it look good if I applied to other undergrad business schools?

Absolutely not...
