How important is leadership skills/resume vs. gpa, SATs at wharton?

lets say someone has humongous leadership on their resume-founder of organizations, five or six captain positions, managers and leaders in community service, all sorts of ECs, etc. But they had mediocre 32-33ish ACTs and average gpa? What would wharton value more??

academics is very important at any ivy (unless you're a super, recruited athlete >=()

so that always comes first, but since a lot of ppl have great academics (GPA, classes you're taking), the rest of ur app tells a lil more about you... ACT is important as well, but if you have superior ECs or some part of your app it'll be looked upon a little bit less heavily

in any case, they make what we'd think of as "exceptions" to every area so you never know

it depends on how "seriously outstanding" these leadership positions are. i wouldn't consider being president of like three different clubs at school outstanding, for example--that's all just local level. this year in our class i've met others kids like me who are national and international leaders in their respective organizations, sports, and activities.

on that note, you still won't be a guaranteed admit unless you have stats that are somewhat comparable to the average wharton admit. it just wouldn't be right otherwise.

what if being president of 10 clubs and orgs.? damn, all mine are local level...because i live in MISSOURIIIII.. THERE IS NOTHING HERE IN MISSOURI, IT'S A FARM!!!!!

they take location into account (GRRRRRRRR >=( )
sorry. but in any case, they want ppl from missouri, so show that you have taken EVERY SINGLE OPPORTUNITY available to you ... by every single i mean like anything worth anything
like if ur school doesn't offer a class that uw anna take, u take it @ local comm. college or like.. self study or something

I know a girl whose got into Wharton this year...She is the Head Girl of my school and has a very full resume...However she is not even among the top 20% of the class and her SAT score is just 1360

no, there IS an FBLA, and I'm in it , but when i said ("there is no FBLA")

i meant that they dont do anything . neither does deca. They just "have the club"...and have no events or anything. sorry about the confusion lol
