How many of you chose to live in a learning community?
And if so, what learning community did you choose?

What's the difference between living in the community or not?
Does it have extra benefits or add to the first-year experience?

I’m an incoming freshman, and I signed up for the Fashion Communications LC. Partially because it’s going to be in Dellplain for 2011-2012 (and according to google, Dellplain is a decent dorm), but also because I’m interested in Fashion. So it’s a win-win situation for me.

I was in the LC Smith learning community for engineers and it was very helpful. It’s nice knowing you live with people who are in similar classes so you can just walk down the hall for help or join a study group in someone’s room. Not to mention we lived in Shaw which has one of the best dining halls but the dorms aren’t exactly amazing…
