Learning Communities

My son was admitted to IU and he would like to attend Kelley. I suggested that he consider a learning community (business) so that 1) he could live in his choice of area (NW) 2) meet others with similar interests 3) make connections and be prepared to apply to business school. However, his older brother (a 28 year old U of M biz grad) is convinced and is convincing him that he would be isolating himself from a variety of experiences and living with a bunch of weirdos. He is basing this on reports from colleagues who graduated from IU. (I suspect none of them was involved in one and that these LCs might be quite different from what they imagine (or maybe what existed previously) especially if IU literature claiming 4000+ participants is true. Can some current students give us some feedback. Thanks.
