I'm considering doing a learning community. Does anyone know anything about the following LC's or the walking from the dorms/general life there?
I'm going to be a Newhouse/CAS major btw.

International Living Learning Community: Day
Leaders Emerging and Developing: Sadler Hall
Pathways: Career Preparations: Brewster Hall

I'm actually really interested in the
Fashion Communications: DellPlain
But I don't want to be with a bunch of upperclassmen and be isolated from other freshman.

Dellplain does have lots of freshmen in addition to the learning communities. The upperclassmen do take the suites that are in there. Ernie Davis has very few freshmen (maybe none) since the building is primarily singles which appeal to upperclassmen.

While not in a learning community myself I live one floor above the International…LC and am really good friends with much of the LC.

Day is a great place for freshmen because it’s on the Mount and both Flint & Day are primarily freshman dorms. The trek is a bit of an annoyance at first (you will learn to either love or hate the stairs) but the community in general is great. I regret not joining the LC as you meet great friends through them and living with people who hold a common interest with you makes the adjustment process into college so much easier.

dvb77 thanks. ach this is such a difficult decision. Um is it mostly just international students or is it also students who want to study abroad and the like? Since I’m just really interested in international living/study abroad.

What are the people in the Fashion Communications LC like? I love fashion communications, but I’m afraid of getting stuck with a bunch of dramatic girls…
