Hello, I am new to this CC forum. I have learning disability, which has a direct impact on my SAT scores. My scores are 1650 on new sat (470 V, 590 M, 550 W), 590 sat 2 history, 540 chemistry, and 640 math iic. I am concerned about my scores and am wondering how colleges will view them. I am just curious- do other disabled students like visually or hearing impaired, ADD, and other disabilities have same scores as me? I don't know what colleges I want to go yet; I don't want to go to elite colleges like Ivy Leagues.

I think it varies person to person. I have ADHD and my score in math is about the same as your, verbal and writting about 200-250 points higher. sometimes you can qualify to get reduced time if you can prove you are learning disabled-i didn't do this but i wish i did. i have no idea if this extra-time shows up on your transcript or if it does if it would even hurt you. i think there is some law that says you can't discriminate on the basis of a disability but i have no idea what practical implications that has for this.

note: if the SAT is the only thing holding you back, there are quite a few schools that don't even ask for your test scores or where test scores play a small role in the admissions decision (and not all of them are pinko liberal arts schools in the middle of nowhere).

Did you not receive accommodations? I have a physical disability and cannot take any test without them.

yes- extended time, but still runs out of time
