learning disability

Hey, I have a learning disability (ADD) and I was wondering if that will help recompensate for my low ACT score? I got a 25, and I was wondering if the admission counselors will take my learning ability into consideration when reviewing my standardized test scores. Thanks

I think people like to use disabilities like this because they got a low score not because their disability caused it but that's my 2 cents

I think depending on the extent of your learning disability it could be taken into account. But I wouldn't gauge on that. I have a friend with autism who still rocked on the SAT's (1580 on the old one). You shouldn't use it as an excuse though if its not debilitating.

see, well autism and ADD are two completely different things. people with autism are for the most part extremely smart (e.g. Einstein, Da Vinci, etc.). i agree with trader, but i wasnt diagnosed with add until i was in the 10th grade. after being diagnosed (and with the help of self hypnosis, diet, and medication) my grades skyrocketed. thanks everyone.

I was just giving an example. But I would definitely include that in your application somewhere.
