<p>Okay so apparently I suck at grammar. I took the SAT's in 8th grade and got a 520 then recently took the PSATs and got a 59. I studied all the rules and practiced a lot. My main issue seems to be verb tense...Any advice? </p>

<p>You should know when to use present perfect or past simple.
I have done my homework (use present perfect because you have not mentioned when did you do your homework
I have been doing my homework all day long (present perfect continuous )</p>
<p>I did my homework last night (do you see the difference) ?
I do my homework every day (present simple)
When my mother entered my room , i WAS DOING my homework (past continuous)</p>
