Learning the Formulas for SAT II Physics

Asides from rote learning, how can I learn the formulas effectively?

I don’t recall using that many formulas, other than maybe Newton’s 2nd law, Ohm’s law, the x = (1/2)gt^2 + (v0)t + x0, and some other ones. It helps to know where they come from, or how to derive them, but many of them use higher-level material including calculus. If you know calculus, you could perhaps try deriving them, if not, just do a lot of practice problems.

So would you say the concept aspect of the test is greater then the math aspect? So I suppose that whne I learn teh formulas, I should understand how they work exactly and try to see where they come from. Thanks.

Nononono you definitely gotta memorize all the formulas, and I mean like ALL of them. There are so many small questions that require the knowledge of the formula and really nothing else. I recommend making flash cards. It’s not so much math but knowing that if you raise voltage, than charge would increase (q=vc), etc.

Ok. Thanks a lot.
