Which is the easiest school to get into: CAS, Poly or Gallatin?
the LSP program is usually where the CAS rejects are put into, it seems like, so it is the easiest.
There were some people on NYU 2018 and 2019 ED thread where ppl who ED’s for CAS (the 2nd or 3rd easiest department to get into) got relegated into LSP, aka Liberal Studies Program.
Hardest to easiest
Stern, CAS, Gallatin, Poly, Steinhardt, LSP, SCPS, Silver
Many of the programs for Tisch and Steinhardt are audition and portfolio based. Therefore it would be misleading to label them “easiest” since the talent component is very competitive.
@uskoolfish that’s right, but for Tisch it seems, the academic stats don’t seem to have as much importance as does CAS or Stern.
Academics are considered for 50% and talent for the other 50% for both Tisch and Steinhardt. Students need to be accepted both academically and talent-wise. I would say that an acceptable lower limited for academics would be the 25th percentile for candidates to NYU for those talents who have strong talent.
