Cornell has a reputation for being the easiest Ivy to get into, but at the same time, it is considered one of the most stressfull.

There are some schools that have a ridiculously tough grading system, and others which have very cutthrout competition between the students themselves.

I realize all colleges are stressful, that you have to pull all-nighters whereever you go. I've heard at schools like Wharton and Stern, they use a bell curve so there is so much competition between the students themselves. But I was wondering some of you opinions on the least stressfull colleges in say the top 25 or so. Which colleges have generally easier grading scales? Also, in which schools is there alot of group studying as opposed to independent?

Stanford is pretty laid back. It's a lot of work, like any other top school, but people don't overstress themselves about it for the most part. Plus, there's a lot of collaborative work, and there's no competitive attitude.

Lol if you go looking for weird people im sure youll find some.. Youll find some artsy/weird people next to brown, but thats more the RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) people...

Brown is pretty normal actually.. Or atleast the people ive come across..

Stanford easily. My friend was a total slacker in high school and got into Stanford as a URM. He's double majored in 2 cream-puff majors and plays World of Warcraft all day but still has a 3.7 GPA.

How about this: The school that is the least stressful is the school that selects applicants that have the most confidence to do what they have to do. Stress is an attitude problem. Solve your attitude and stress will go away.

Maybe stress isn't the right word I should be using. I realize every top school will have stress, but I'm talking about the schools where there isn't so much competition amongst the students themselves, and the students will often work together and help each other the night before the big test.

I've heard at schools like Wharton, it is graded on a bell curve, so you hope that your classmates do worst than you. And then I've also heard that the grading is ridiculously tough at Cornell as compared to other Ivies, and as a result, is alot more stressful.

I consider myself confident, I just want my college education to be more than having to stay up late every night, all by myself trying to finish the vast amounts of homework. So I was just wondering you CCer's opinions on the matter! ;)
