Leaving Activities Section Blank?

Is it okay to leave the activities section of the Common App blank, in favor of an attached resume with more space for details?

I just feel that the format on the common app would lesson the impact of some of my activities.

To allow us to focus on the highlights of your activities, please complete this section even if you plan to attach a resum

^Thanks

Another question: Can i just list the activities in the section and then re-list them with explanations in the attached resume? Would it be redundant? There’s so little space for the description of activities.

The general wisdom seems to be that you should not leave it completely blank. List a couple of your most important activities even if they are repeated in greater depth in the resume.

i have the same question – is it better to list the activities without a description on the common app and just leave an extensive description to the resume?
