<p>Definitely. For example, I was in our school’s Octagon club for two years. But I felt like I didn’t get anything out of the club and didn’t do too much so I left it out.</p>
<p>Is it considered lying if you leave out significant ECs on your application?</p>
<p>I don’t think it’s lying because it’s not like you’re claiming you’re doing something you’re not. However, why would you want to leave out significant ECs? They would show colleges more about what kind of a person you are.</p>
