1. I am not saying you have to do all of them.
2. There are people who got a 2400 without 20+ practice tests, I know, but everyone is different.
3. I have many ECs and I still have time to do this; so time-management is not an issue; stop facebook and youtube, that's all you need.</p>

<p>I can already imagine how many hate posts I will receive.
But I will not give up and contribute to the CC Community, since they helped me so much.</p>

<p>Here is a list of books that I used/using right now.
I suggest this list if you really want something above a 2300 and you have English as your second language.
I learned English about 4-5 years ago, and I am looking forward to a 2400.</p>

<p>I can’t comment on the number of practice tests because I didn’t learn English as a second language. However, I would definitely recommend Direct Hits as the #1 vocabulary resource and BB practice tests above all other tests.</p>

Start with the Blue Book.</p>

<p>You do not have to do ALL of them.</p>

<p>Imagine a pyramid:
Bluebook- easy
Kaplan
PR
then Barron’s
now do them backwards (with workbooks)
PR
Kaplan
after that, use some left practice tests from the blue book.</p>

<p>The general consensus is to use authentic material. This guy offers a unique approach: massive amounts of practice tests. I don’t know if it works (or is worth it :D) but I’m curious to see how it worked for the OP</p>

<p>Yes, I agree. Definitely start with authentic material, but then move up. First to Kaplan, then PReview, then ultimately Barron’s. And go down the pyramid, slowly. </p>

<p>In the end, you will be able to solve BB much more quickly, and the other tests are not THAT bad. They still test you the same material, in different format.</p>

<p>That is a tight budget. Hot words+ Direct Hits, and RocketReview+ BB Practice tests, I would say.</p>

I disagree. There are not many Collegeboard Tests in the market.
If you need more practice, you must get more tests.</p>

<p>But I do agree that in the end, Collegeboard tests are the most accurate ones.</p>

Noitaraperp, who got into harvard, wrote about how to effectively attack the CR sections.
Even for him, he had to take at least 50 practice tests to get a 2400.
Ren- I am assuming you have a 2400?

but i increased my scores by more than 700, and I used PR/Kaplan prior to BB tests; they don’t work, for me at least.</p>
