Lectures are torture

My school is a Monster close to 30K students all together, and its all open.

You could be a homeless guy off the streets of Buffalo, and you could sit in on a Physics class, or you could go into the law Library.

The only thing that is locked up is the Dental, Pharma and medical centers. I guess well because there are all really expensive things in there.

I have sat in on some Microprocessor labs and other upper CSE classes to see what I was going to expect, I also if I know a very hard class is coming up, iL sit in and just listen, to get me prepared for next semester.

Enn we all go to school for our own reasons, everybody's ways are fine and acceptable.

use very strong mint chewing gums.
eat lots of protein before class.
i had biochem and then orgo and then genetics in 4 1/2 hrs in a row last semester. i went to all of them and took all the notes and i was okay.

sit the very front rows. if all methods don't seem to work, get a paperclip to clip your cheek.

How many of you could teach the subjects you have so called learned to someone else?

Well, I TA, so I have taught the subjects that I've learned to others.

becoming a TA is a totally different Subject, than an average student. TA's tend to go over and beyond the requirements of the class they will TA before they become a TA.

But yes I could say you are an exception, so It is not totally impossible.

Sit very near the front. That way, if the prof sees you falling asleep you know he might be offended and grade you down for it (if he ever figured out your name, of course). Taking notes really helps me out, especially if I can take them on my laptop. That way I can just surf the internet and check email if I'm getting sleepy. Drinking coffee or water during class helps too.

get a pack of the wet wipes, one on the back of a neck is very refreshing

some thing we forget about is the bad air...in enclosed places, without lots of fresh oxygen it is very easy to get sleepy

I just to get really tired in malls, and it was partly to do with the stale air,
so try and sit near a window, if there are any, or the door, and those wipes on the forehead, the hands, help

me, I take off my shoes, helps the blood circulate, and dress in layers, getting just a bit warm can make you drowsy
