Definitely very noble.
Highly respectable. Thanks for sharing!!!

Are you by any chance in Key Club?

Are you by any chance in Key Club?

thanks, I’m sure everyone else has notable incentives, and no :[
I attended their meeting but I wasn’t as interested compared to other clubs, but, I will most likely consider it again next year since I’ll be attending most of the informational meetings again haha, just in case my opinion changes

Meeting people like you guys, college guidance, the SAT prep, leadership lectures, Princeton University, campus visits, being in the northeast…the list goes on.
I cannot believe I found such a perfect program and wouldn’t want to spend my summer any other way!

And no, I’m not in Key Club. I’m not sure if my school even has that club! What do you guys do?

Key Club is a club that strives to build leadership by building servant leaders. I highly recommend it.

Um, well most notably, I do…

Tennis 3 years
Varsity for 2
Jv for 1

Then I have my grades.

Rank 1

Full time job at my parents

Same as @Jeikudes, I’ve never been to the mainland and attending Princeton is like a fantasy as @ThumnusTheGreat has said. Aside from that, I applied to this program in order to increase my chances at getting into my first choice college because the assistance the program provide is astonishing. I feel that if I get accepted, I will attain more knowledge about colleges that I will gladly share with my siblings and my unmotivated friends. Kinda corny and dramatic but lol it’s true.

For me, Leda is the chance to step up and discover the steps to success outside of my state. And it is also a chance to meet people (like you guys) who are hardworking and dedicated.
In the end though, I applied because of the chance to learn valuable college prep and life skills.

Yeah, I agree.

Applying to college sounds cliche in almost every aspect.

That’s why we ALL got to combine our OWN personal stories to make us seem more “real.”

This makes me want to get in so much!!!

All these motivations, diversity, and stories will be so interesting to here!!!

Um, well, sorry. I feel uncomfortable telling everyone.
Key club wise, I’m District CNH (Jei- we’re in the same key club district) region 14 division 14

Hahaha, everyone might as well share their short answer questions from the application. You guys really build up the hype and excitement for LEDA!

Haha!!!

First thing we do if we get accepted: we all share our personal statements.

I don’t know about you, but I really dug deep for that one.

I’m curious to see what you guys are in.

It took a lot for me to answer the personal statement. It was certainly something to make you think.

Sent from my PG86100 using CC

My personal statement was exactly 1000 words! haha. Good times.

Wow, you must had lots to say. I think mine was like 688 or something. I kept mine short but sweet.

mine was around 700 for the short answer… but I was paranoid from earlier posts. I thought I went over the limit
I’m not sure about the personal statement though it was definitely a thought provoker.

haha yea I had a lot to say
Short answer was around 500 words though.

Anyone have any more tips for the interview?

I would say write some notes down, like in bullet form to some answers, and not try to write a script and read word for word… hahaha. Just glance at your notes if you have to when you lose your train of thought

If Iris Early emailed any of you back please post her response so we can all know if they are still sending emails promoting us to round 3 or not! :)

@collegequeen: I could do that.

I’ll do what Jei suggests and write down a few key points to refer to when losing train if thought. Someone recommended doing a mock interview, which is smart.

Okay! @ThumnusTheGreat Thank you! I really appreciate it and I’m sure everyone else on this thread will too :)
