Congrats Gary!!!

Idk
I have been corresponding with another girl who is a LEDA scholar, and she said they even got food stipends. I hope it’s not much. I have also done a lot if research about Princeton over the years and I know that you don’t have to put coins in the washers and dryers for laundry. We might have to buy our own detergent? Another thing I’m wondering is if they have a limit in how much baggage they will pay for for the airplane. I have never been on an airplane before, but I know there are weight limits, and I know I tend to overpack for trips. Haha

Wait…are they paying for transportation? (Airplane tickets and stuff??)

Yes, haha.
Transportation is def. paid for. Well, that is unless you get kicked out or your parents decide to take you out for whatever reason. haha

Does anyone have any idea whatsoever what kind of things we’ll need to take or how much money we’ll be expected to have on hand?

Haha wow that’s awesome! And for stuff to bring, I’d say a calculator since they’re doing SAT prep!

We find out about the decision at the end of the month, right? Does anyone know?

I’m guessing our questions will be answered in the packet they will give us once they are finished picking the rest of the scholars

I’ve been emailing a girl from who is from the 2009 cohort and she told me that they pretty much pay for everything. of course you need to bring money for things like buying souvenirs and stuff. But like I said earlier you get stipends for food during trips, but in regards to the airplane ride they don’t pay for any of your extra baggage so if things are over the weight limit or or you have more bags then the airline normally gives you, then you have to pay extra for the bags.
but just a word of warning she did remind me that this is from 2009 for the information she gave me so things might be a little different now. I’m sure that we’re going to get a lot more details we get our packet when they have chosen every person who’s going to be in cohort 9.

Thanks for the info!

Congrats everyone!
Still waiting here in WV.

iflyaway :)

Hello everyone! 3 people from my school were accepted into round 2 but haven’t received any type of notification on round 3. Has anyone from AZ received any news? Thanks!:)

No problem Jeikudes!

@Jeikudes
I’m just curious though, how did you get Jeikudes from Jake. You can pm me if you don’t want to post it on here for whatever reason jsyk.

Hey! I sent in my Part II application portion about…2 months ago? I still haven’t heard back though. Just wondering if you guys had? Is this normal?

Thanks for your help guys!

Ohh it’s Japanese; jake sounded out in Japanese is jeiku and des (supposed to be desu lol) means “I am”. So my username pretty much says “I’m Jake” haha. I had Japanese freshmen year.

You just made your username ten times cooler than it already was! xD

My username is kinda lame…I just wanted something Latin haha so I chose one that meant “young heart” (I wanted to become a cardiologist at the time…yea. :P)

Does Ukilipsul have a certain story behind it?

Haha
Now I’m pretty lame. I don’t even remember how I made it up. Its just random.

I think it’s pretty cool! Reminds me of a plant or something lol

:( no emails from Leda today so far…

Sent from my T-Mobile myTouch 3G using CC

Not that it’s relevant to LEDA, but my username was simple. I love tea; I’m in “tea love” and I wanted a 5 on my AP test (which I got). Hence, TeaLove5.
