My dad emailed the confirmation (in spanish since he can’t speak english) on tuesday and iris emailed ME back today letting me know she received it. I’d check your email in addition to your mom’s. You should find out by tomorrow :)

Thanks! She didn’t email me or my mom yet. I hope she’ll email by tomorrow :)

@jeikudes
My mom emailed Iris on Friday. I just found out today that she never faxed those papers! Now I’m nervous. Did we have to fax them and physically mail them too?

Instead of faxing, you can just scan and email but yeah you have to mail it too. Gah I’m nervouse that they did not get the confirmation. I’m just paranoid haha

@jeikudes how long did it take before you found out that you got accepted?

For those who haven’t gotten contacted at all and those for next year, there is always hope. Admissions roll until about the second week of May. :D

Have any one from California gotten notifications??? Cuz I haven’t heard anything from them. T^T

I advanced to the 3rd round…but I already got into a different program that I really like…so I might have to decline. I really want to do this too though. Sigh.

Don’t lose hope, guys. I’m in the northeast, in case you’re curious.

Hey just wanting to you something to think about. You got into another program that you really like. If I were you I would ask them before interview if they take another person if someone declines. There are some other people who don’t have another option.
This is just something for you to think about though. I’m not trying to make you feel bad or anything like that.

Not everyone who gets to the third round is automatically accepted. Logically, you can deduce that my situation is irrelevant to the admission prospects to Joe Bloggs in Maine.

I don’t think anyone from California has gotten anything.

@geography
I specifically said that you should ask prior to your interview. I know that the being accepted to the third round does not mean that you are automatically accepted. Let’s say that Iris/ Nicole happened to tell you that if you declined your interview because you had another opportunity that you wished to pursue, then another student would be admitted to the third round. If this happened, logically, you can deduce that your situation is relevant to admission.
Like I said, I was jst telling you this for you to think about. It couldn’t hurt to ask.

Ukilip is saying that with all respect. He’s just pointing out that if there’s another program out there that you value as much as LEDA, then you should pick between the programs. Ukilip is just informing you of the fact that you can distribute the opportunities. Like Ukilip said, many others don’t have these opportunities.

Personally, I have just been accepted to a 6 week program at Berkeley. The Berkeley paper work dates are due at the middle of May. I’m going to wait for LEDA’s response and contact my program. There’s no reason for me to hog an opportunity for someone and not attend because of something else.

OMG. At least you guys were accepted at something. Oh life :)

Haha
I’m a girl…

Which city are you from? ( ^ω^ ) I’m from Los Angeles. Hope I can meet you during summer. ヾ(@⌒ー⌒@)ノ

@fatamy one week but Ukulipsul heard back the day after her interview.

@Ukilip: I must apologize for my generalization.

@Art: I’m 45 minutes away from Sac.

No worries:)
