I hope so too! Have you guys heard anything yet?

Haven’t heard anything at all. How come Bruce said he is moving on to the second round already ?

I heard that I moved on to the second round two weeks ago and finished the second round stuff today. I am so nervous

I’m really wanting to move on to the third round

So , if we haven’t heard from them by now I guess we are rejected , isn’t it ?

That’s what my mom is saying! But I mean, if they DO reject you, wouldn’t they have to email you to let you know regardless? And congrats, notamontague (like your username, haha) good luck!!! And I still have not heard anything yet… :(

Just a question- did you guys put a lot of work into your essays? Like editing and planning and all that? Because I talked to other people that applied and it seemed like they have!

Oh! And I went on the LEDA website and it said that they’ll be notifying applicants late January and THROUGHOUT February. So maybe we still have hope!! Oh and notamontague, did they ask for more essays to be written for Part 2?

Well , on my case it’s a long shot for me since I am not 1 st gen , Asian and income >80k. . But for California standard , 80k is nothing.

I thought it was <50k…haha. Well you never know unless you try!

The only draw back on my case is after asking my counselor and teachers write me recommendation for LEDA, they are hesitate to write me other summer programs. One teacher told me he is not willing to since each recommendation is too intensive and took too much his time . He only willing to write if it wouldn’t take him more than 5 mins. Lol!!!
Oh well… Public school what else can I expect anyway.

I literally did not put any thought into my essays. I thought they were easy enough and just went with what came to mind.
The second part just requires updated transcripts, test scores, proof of citizenship, and tax stuff pretty easy stuff

Btw I’m pretty sure they’d send you an email regardless. And also they said they’re still sending emails so there is still hope for you guys who didn’t get emails yet !

I was talking to someone who applied last year and they said that when they were rejected they didn’t find out till a month after the accepted people found out.

WHAT. Well…that is not very nice of them haha. I will just have to talk to my College Possible coach…

and notamontague, same here! I didn’t really put much thought. I just wrote whatever came to mind and handed it to my coach to read it and we just edited some grammar mistakes and then I sent it in. Now I’m kind of regretting it because maybe I did something wrong? Maybe my recommendations aren’t good enough? It’s already the 25th!!! I’m so anxious!!

I did a quick proofread and submitted them… I didn’t have anyone look over them, so they must’ve been good since I got into the second round. I’m sure you’ll hear something soon. I didn’t even read my recommendations at all. Just have some hope :)

If I haven’t been notified or anything, I didn’t get through? Not to sound informal but, that SUCKS…

It does seem bad manner to have to wait a month or so to notify people…

Still nothing…Haha. I looked back at the 2013 thread and they mentioned about LEDA notifying them by regions or something? And there was something about their profile changing on the LEDA fluidreview site but I check everyday and it’s just the same.

I also asked my College Possible coach about notifying people a month later and she said it’s probably because there is a wait list?
