Just wondering how many people received this scholarship this year, and what their stats were.

10 received the scholarship. I have spoken with several of them. Most of the award winners are very well wualified applicants and are competitive for schools like Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Stanford, Dartmouth etc.

Actually it looks like only 4 got the scholarship out of 950 Applicants

[Clark University begins first academic LEEP year – WORCESTER, Mass., Aug. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --](http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/clark-university-begins-first-academic-leep-year-221191311.html)

Any insight into this year’s process? Have people been asked to interview or anything?

Of the 1600+ students who applied for the LEEP Scholarship, only 15 will be brought to campus for an interview during the March Admitted Student Open House (after regular decision notifications have gone out). Of the 15 finalists, only 5 will be selected and notified as LEEP Scholars, shortly after.

5 offered from 15 finalists from 1600+ Scholarship Apps illustrates that it’s really the top of the applicant pool in every criteria that continue to be considered for the scholarship. There is not a number rubric that determines who wins; the Admissions Committee evaluates every part of the application and relies on the interview to make the final selection.

ClarkU2016 Any idea when a regular decision candadite will here?

just heard from Clark. didnt make LEEP.

Just heard and no LEEP. Nice presidential scholarship but not enough to make difference over Umass Honors with scholarship.

^Are you guys US citizens?

I’ve been maniacally checking my email for my decision. I’m an international student. Are decisions released on a rolling basis?

US citizen

yep US citizen

I’m assuming they’re starting to send out all the decision right now, and they are simultaneously dwindling down the application base for the LEEP program. I’m assuming the longer you wait, the longer they ponder your application for the LEEP scholarship. Not sure, though.

That seems like a fair claim, given that the expected notification date for RD was in mid-March.

Actually, I called today, and I was told that the notifications should come out tomorrow afternoon. I’m wondering why colleges say one date… but so many people claim to hear from them early on.

I was accepted two weeks ago, got the global scholars scholarship and was selected as a finalist for the LEEP. I have an interview at the end of March. Five out of the final sixteen will receive the award.

(International Student)

Blue, what were you stats / info like?

GPA 3.99 on a scale of 4.00 (Weighted)
SAT 2060 (M740 CR650 VW670)
Rank 2/650

I’m with the British system so you probably won’t understand my workload but it was considerably tough. I had good recommendations and ECs.

However, in my opinion, what worked for me was my LEEP Essay.

Yeah, my GPA was lower than yours, however I took the hardest possible classes throughout high school. Plus, 2150 on SAT’s. Good reccs, decent ECs, what I thought was a great LEEP essay, and sadly no dice. Good luck to you, though.

im a Canadian citizen going to an international school in Korea… stats are 2300 SAT and 4.0 GPA do u think i stand a chance, even though im an international student?

also, can interviews be conducted online??
