left a word out in a essay

I just noticed that I left a word out in my application supplementary essay which I turned in 5 days ago..

And the essay was for my top choice college.

I'm pretty confident I wrote the word, but I'm guessing I mistakenly hovered it and erased it when I was revising the essay..

This word left out made the sentence very weird.

The sentence started with "For me who had" and I left out the word "who"

So, it became "For me had ..."

Should I contact with admission office? Or will they know it and disregard it?

When they notice my error, will I get disadvantaged from this?

If so, how should I tell them so I don't get any disadvantage?

I really want to go to this college. Please help!

This type of thing is frustrating to find. It’s also not uncommon. It’s nothing to stress over, or to contact admissions about. They are very good at reading and “filling in the blank”. The mind actually fills in small missing words as we read while we never notice it. It’s how we easily miss things on edit, only finding something the fifth time we read it. By contacting admissions you may point out an error they never noticed. Rest easy, and best of luck!
