Fortunately, I have leftover Pell grant money after all my FA has been applied to my tuition bill. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the leftover money? Also, how do you get it? I assume it's through a check...

I was hoping to use it on personal expenses such as textbooks and school supplies. Thanks!

I advise you to set up direct deposit immediately through epay and sign all of the proper documentation to let them send everything straight to your bank account.

Last fall, I was in the same situation and opted for a paper check refund which took WEEKS to get to me. In the spring I decided to try for a paper check again and they didn’t even send it to me despite the fact that I contacted them multiple times about it (they ended up applying it towards this semester’s bill).

My friends said direct deposit takes no time at all so that’s what I’m doing this year.

I just set up the epay direct deposit for leftover money today. I hope I’ll be getting the funds in time for books/expenses. Anyway, thanks for the response, dreamupsided0wn!

What paper would one sign for direct deposit or is setting up routing and account number sufficient?
