Legacies at Cornell

Would having a parent, and two uncles who recieved graduate degrees and phD's be of any use in terms of legacy?

It’s huge help.

A parent can help, uncles won’t matter (legacy is direct descendant). The admit rate is higher for legacy, about 35% last year. However, many legacies are even denied admission during the ED round.

By the way… I was deffered from Brown’s early decision round if that helps at all

Would have been a much bigger boost if you had applied ED. Now it’ll help sure, but not to some huge extent.
