Ack, I hate this damn euphenism for what in reality is no more benign than a political favor. Legacy admissions policies are as discriminatory as it gets; I just can’t believe it’s so explicitly condoned.
Do these same people who list half their family as Penn alumni on their application also list their lawyer daddy on their job applications, or lobby for more lenient grading from a teacher because they are the best friend of that teacher’s kid? I hope I’m sounding logical. Legacies are ridiculous and ought to be done away with.
