Quick question, how much does being a legacy affect my Michigan admissions? In my family, my Grandma, Mother, and Brother are all grads of Michigan, and my Sister is currently attending. I also do believe that my mom has been making routine donations for at least the past ten years, if not more. I know Michigan say they don’t really consider it too much, but in my case, how much might this help/hurt me? Thanks.
They do consider legacy and it would help your admission. Nevertheless, UMich has one of the largest almuni population. Almost everyone instate have legacy or secondary legacy.
Does it make a notable difference in the decision process, especially noting that I have a larger than average list of legacies?
