Those are just some extra things I figured I'd add.
My parents both went to Cornell. My father also is on the research faculty at Cornell. My mother is on the board of Cornell alumni.
I'm applying ED to Cornell in November. What do you think my chances are?
I'm also applying to UVA, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins (my parent is a professor here), McGill, Boston University, Wash U St. Louis, Boston College, Colorado College and Villanova. If you want to chance me for those places too that would be great!
Thank you all so much!

Cornell-high match. You have a great shot.

thank you!

Now, it is still an ivy, but that being said it is the easiest of Ivies, your SAT is just above their median range of acceptance and your GPA is good enough. But legacy is a huge factor there and these should all complement eachother for an excellent chance! Good luck!

Thanks again, I’m really hoping for acceptance here. It’s been my dream school since I was in kindergarten!
Does anyone have any ideas about any of the other schools I mentioned?

Congratulations, Member of Cornell Class of 2019!!! But Georgetown and Hopkins are the only ones you have to worry about.

thanks so much! I know Johns Hopkins and Georgetown are going to be reaches, but I think i’ll still apply. :)

With good stats and ECs you are already in good shape, but legacy pushes Cornell to be a match for you!
Georgetown/Hopkins- Reach
UVA/WashU- Low reach-High match
Boston College/McGill- Match-High Match

Could you chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1517874-summer-chances-yale-brown-etc.html
Best of luck!

Thanks so much, I just chanced you back!
Any other opinions out there?

With your ec’s, test scores, & legacy you have a great shot at Cornell! Georgetown and John Hopkins are a bit of a reach but don’t let that stop you from applying!

I think that you have a great shot at Cornell at least. All of these are very selective schools, but it looks like you have the grades, the scores, and the extra curriculars to get in.

Thanks!! I’m hoping for all, but I know some are reaches.

Would anybody be willing to chance me for Vanderbilt?
I’ve also forgotten to mention that I have my name on a published scientific paper, after doing fieldwork in the Alps.
Chances for any colleges I mentioned above would also be appreciated! Thanks!!

You have an excellent shot at Cornell. I think you’re a high match at Cornell, and quite frankly I would be kind of surprised if you were rejected. Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, and Vanderbilt are all reaches though. But you never know, you might get into some of these as well.

By the way, I went for a trip to the Alps before and it’s beautiful, isn’t it?

Thanks for your response! I think I will apply Cornell ED for sure. And yes I love the Alps, I spend a good amount of time there, it’s like my second home!
