How do I let Dartmouth know that I'm a legacy (ie. how do I get labeled as such)? Other schools have sections of their Supplements that allow you to fill in any family connections you have to the school, but Dartmouth doesn't seem to have that. Both my Grandfather and my Mother went to Dartmouth and I want to let that be known. Does anybody know what I should do, or what I'm missing?

I had the same question when my first child applied. My husband and I both went to Dartmouth. The only way they know is from the common application , where it asks where your parents went to college. Dartmouth doesn’t care where grandparents went. Only parents determine legacy status.

and for the legacy tip, it is highly advisable to apply ED. Otherwise, the College KNOWS that it is not your first choice.
