I was looking at the Harvard supplement, and I noticed that there's no place to inform them of relatives who went to Harvard. On most of my other CommonApp schools, there are, so I was confused....where should you put this information? Or do they not require it? Thanks :)

Doesn’t one put this on the Common Application?

No- you obviously put your parents’ schools, but oftentimes, applicants have non-parent relatives who attended (like me- Both of my aunts attended)

Do only nuclear family legacies yield a benefit?

Harvard defines legacy as having had a parent who graduated from Harvard undergrad.

Not sure. I guess it only matters if your parents went there…? That sucks, since several of my aunts and uncles went there, but my parents went to MIT/Cornell/Rice, none of which I want to apply to :(

Thanks, Northstarmom.
