legacy at William and Mary

Thanks Suze and Megastud.

Stealthvoltage- that really was out of line and offensive.

I was going to PM this to you, but since you've disabled personal messages, I'll post it right here.

""If you where [sic] a 5 generation legacy and you still didn't get in...then you really don't belong there."

I graduated in the top 8% of my reasonably competitive class. My (old) SAT score was a 1450- my SAT IIs were 780, 770, and 700. I have 3 5s, a 4 and a 3 on AP exams. No, I'm not the most outstanding applicant Harvard has ever had. No, I'm not even near the top- but I'm a damn good Latin student and I know how to write well. I think it's a stretch to say that "I don't belong there". And next time you criticize someone's intellect and credentials, at least get your own grammar correct.

I'm sorry you didn't get in elizabeth, I really am. I know I didn't directly offend you as stealthvoltage did, but I am still very sorry if I did offend you. I just asked WM and they said it is basically a significant tiebreaker. So, thanks everyone for your comments.

Derek, not directed at you at all. No hard feelings there- there's nothing wrong with asking a question :).
