Legacy -- different colleges within Cornell

My son is planning on applying to Cornell – I am Cornell Human Ecology alum.

He is interested in similar majors – business management at Dyson School of Business (CALS) or Policy Analysis & Management (HumEc). The majors have a degree of overlap.

As a legacy, does he stand a better chance at HumEc or does it not make any difference between the colleges at Cornell?

No, it doesn’t make any difference. For legacy to matter, he would need to apply ED. Use it or lose it.

Agree with legacy and early decision. Will point out out that the admit rate is much higher for males in HE then in AG school http://irp.dpb.cornell.edu/tableau_visual/admissions
