I was wondering how much legacy (double legacy for me) would impact my chances at Cornell if I applied in both ED and RD. Does applying RD lose the boost that legacy gives?
It is believed that legacy helps a bit in the ED round, not so much in RD. How much it helps is pure speculation.
Agree, it is more helpful in ED. But you would need to be academically qualified in your own right.
For most schools, applying early gives you the legacy boost. From their standpoint, they feel that why should they give you an advantage if they are not your first choice.
