legacy/ minority

How important is legacy to Yale? I mean, if your an URM or a first generation student, would your chances be less than someone who is not a minority, but has a great legacy? (Assuming that their SAT scores, class rank, GPA, EC, etc. are equally impressive?)
Oh, and one more thing----Would an Indian or Pakistani be considered as an underrepresented Asian on the app?

Legacy, URM, and first generation student are all factors when considering admission, but they're not as important as SAT/ACT scores, rank, GPA, EC, etc. They might have some say in final decision (when you're on the brink of the yes/no).

Indians are not URM. Pakistani? I don't know about that, but I personally don't think so.

Legacy might outweigh URM if your legacy is Bush or something. :)
