<p>My dad is a Stanford grad and I checked it off for the legacy. However, should I have also checked off where they asked if another relative graduated from Stanford? My 86 year old great-uncle (by marriage) was a graduate back in the '40s. Or does it really matter since he's pretty far removed? Just curious! Thanks.</p>
<p>I dont think you really hurt yourself at all by not checking that box. Both my dad (undergrad) and my aunt (undergrad and JD) went to Stanford and forgot and only put my dad and I still got in.</p>
