My daughter is an FSU double legacy, and I've heard that she can get a scholarship. How much is it, and how many times can she receive it?

Lots of FSU scholarships, but one for being a legacy is news to me…otherwise we’d certainly have applied for it - twice.

Maybe a private scholarship?

No there actually is a legacy scholarship on the FSU website. You have to be a member of the alumni association for your child to get it. What I saw said $1,000 and $2,000 for a double legacy. I just wondered if it’s a one time deal since we are OOS. She’d like to go, but we can’t afford to send her.

Interesting - I’ve never heard of it.

These are the only general university scholarships I am aware of:

[FSU Admissions | Freshman | Finances | Freshman Scholarships](<a href=“FSU Admissions | Error 404 page not found”>FSU Admissions | Error 404 page not found)

This is a new program as of 2010. It is NOT run by the university, it is a private scholarship administered by the Alumni Association. It is similar to scholarships awarded by regional alumni groups. They award two $1000 scholarships a year total to in-state students and two $2000 scholarships a year total to OOS students. It is competitive and a one time award, as far as I know.

Thanks Sunny. That answers my question.
