Legacy stats

Hello. First time poster. Go easy on me alright, I just had a few questions.

-What percent of legacies get into Harvard?
-Will both parents going there help more than one?
-Do they consider legacies explicitly against one another or is it more of a golf handicap type thing?
-Does it matter how much your parents donate? (because I'm thinking nothing...)
-Would it matter if a parent was a prof at the business school in the past?
-Does anyone have a breakdown of what percent of legacies get in with what SAT? More to the point, what % get in with a 2340 SAT?

These and other questions plague me. alright i'm out.

More to the point

Alright say both my parents went to Harvard. Say I got the highest grades possible, a 2340 SAT, went to RSI rising senior and Harvard SSP rising junior (where i got 2 As), have fairly average but strong ECs (founder school newspaper, class president), and outstanding recs and everything. Say i'm white. What would my chances be?

Woah. That was to the point.

Very, very high.

Legacies get in at three or four times the overall acceptance rate.

if both parents went to grad school there does it count for undergrad admissions legacy

brucecampbell: No. Legacy only comes into play if your parents went to Harvard undergrad.
