legacy...

does legacy count if one of your parents attended a Columbia grad school?? if so, does anyone know how much it does count, because i have been hearing many different things about columbia and other random schools.

you dont count as legacy on your application, however you do get to put down that your parents attended columbia

It comes from a table in a Alum publication - No reference listed, no dates, just the table.

"undergraduate legacy acceptance rate"

Columbia 17%

Stanford 25%

Yale 30%

Princeton 39%

Harvard 40%

Dook 40%

Penn 41%

Brown 54%

The adcoms said when we visited that they only count undergrad parents for legacy. But agree with Lynda; it can't hurt to have it appear in the app.

Duke or Dook?

Only 17%? That's awful for me...

"undergraduate legacy acceptance rate"

Columbia 17%

Stanford 25%

Yale 30%

Princeton 39%

Harvard 40%

Dook 40%

Penn 41%

Brown 54% (ARE YOU SERIOUS? I HAVE A 54% CHANCE AT BROWN????)

this has to be for early decision...i hope regular is somewhat high

It doesn't count for grad school (eh, otherwise I'd have legacy too), only for undergrad.

I wouldn't trust any of these numbers.

Especially since they spell it "Dook"
