Does anyone know if it makes any impact at NU?

Section C-7 - Legacy is considered, but not as important as a lot of other factors.

Look on it as a tie-breaker of sorts. Being a legacy won’t vault you magically over somebody with better stats than you. But if you are tied with someone equally as well qualified to get in, then it might help.

I’m a legacy at NU, and my interviewer told me that it’s a huge factor for ED, but it’s not so much for RD. As the poster above said, if it comes down to letting a legacy or non in, they’re probably going to go for the legacy if their stats are equal. But being a legacy isn’t an automatic in for RD as it is for ED.
