Legacy

If my uncle is a professor at UCLA, does that count as legacy?
Well, I completely forgot about that until today so I’d feel bad if that info would have helped my admission…
Is it important enough to send the uni an email about it?

I doubt it will matter. I don’t even think the UC App asks where your parents went to college, so I don’t think legacy matters at any of the UCs – if they don’t really care who your parents are, I doubt they really care who your uncle is.

Granted I could always be wrong, so I guess it’s best to ask your counselor to be sure.

There’s no spot on the application to mention it. I’m a double legacy so I wasn’t bummed I couldn’t put it in anywhere

UC’s do not consider legacy in their admission decisions.
