Legacy?

I’m a junior at a public high school in Virginia. I’m also a double legacy at NU. If I applied ED, what are the chances that I get rejected? I have pretty good stats-top 10% of class and 34 ACT with 9 on writing. I haven’t taken any subject tests yet. Would you reccomend to take them if I apply to Weinberg? Thanks guys!

In answer to your question about chances of getting in ED - if you are a true double legacy - and by that I mean both of your parents graduated from NU undergrad - then I think with a 34 ACT and top grades you would have a good chance. What is your GPA? My daughter was accepted ED with 34 ACT 4.0 GPA UW and 4.4 W (her school’s ceiling) this past December with true double legacy status. She had top notch essays and recs, as well—(so don’t rest on your legacy laurels), but if your GPA is robust you have a very good shot.

My gpa is a 3.9/4 unweighted. This is around the tenth percentile at my school. Regarding my legacy, both of my parents attended graduate school at NU and my grandparents attended undergrad.

My school doesn’t rank due to th competitive nature here, but people with grades below mine have gotten in.
