Would sibling legacy help a lot for college admission?

Not as much as a parent, but it will help a little

what if that person is a current student in that college?
and what if it's a some kinda special program?

Since its your sibling, it won't matter as much if she graduated or not. I got a sister at NYU and she said that it'll help me get in.

call admissions and ask, telling them why you want to go there if they ask at that time.\
at various schools, siblings are grouped separately from other admits and evaluated.\
apply ED and try to get maximum leverage. good luck

Does a grandfather count as a legacy?

it depends on the school. for instance, brown tells me they consider siblings to be legacy.

On some apps they ask whether you have any siblings who attend the school. I'm sure that it can only help you if you do. And grandparents do count as legacy, if I'm not mistaken.

If your sibling goes to the school, and you are also applying, you are a lot more likely to go. That would help the yield, so it does help.
