<p>That helps a bunch that both parents went for undergrad, one for grad, and one is teaching there. You need to have solid stats, but it increases your chances a bunch. Dont count on getting in if you have bellow a 3.5 and 2000, but if you have a strong resume, you should be pretty good for admissions.</p>
<p>Note: I do not know how comeptitive it is for children of professors at Penn to get in. I would assume it is easier than for normal people, but there may be a fair amount of internal competition.</p>
<p>Being the child of a professor helps immensely. Much more so than legacy, though in your case that only helps to show the very strong connection to the university your family has.</p>
