I was wondering... My brother currently attends UNC CH and I was wondering how much that helps with me getting in- he will be graduating college when I graduate high school. (Im in state) Does that kind of "legacy" help, or does it really only make a difference if they are giving a lot of money to the school?

I doubt that counts as legacy. Plus considering UNC is a state school, they might not consider legacy at all.

UNC considers legacy but it's not a huge factor, one of my friends thought she could get in with decent grades and having her entire family go there. She didn't get in, and her rejection letter spoke of how much her family had given back to the school but that they just couldn't accept her
